Bill “LA” Graham is an African-American in the great tradition of the American Musicology Alan Lomax joins us from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey to discuss the jazz pianist, bandleader and composer “Jelly Roll” Morton-Ferdinand Joseph LaMothe (September 20, 1885 – July 10, 1941) and his late mother Mrs.Mary Ellen Graham a professional musician in 1950s and 60s Los Angela,California.
